Last modified October 2, 2018

This article applies to Contextual Commerce. (Looking for Classic Commerce documentation?)

There are currently six payment methods available by which you can collect your funds from FastSpring.

  • Direct Deposit (ACH) and International Direct Deposit (IACH)
  • PayPal
  • Payoneer Prepaid MasterCard®
  • Wire Transfer
  • Physical Check / Other

Detailed information about each payment method is available below.

Making Changes to Your Payment Method

To make changes to your payment method, click the Store menu at the top left-hand corner of the Dashboard and select Account Summary.

Then, click the Edit link below the Payment Method on the right-hand side of the page.

On the Payment Methods page, click the OPTIONS command at the top right-hand corner of the page, and then select to enter the payment details for your desired payment method.

Or, if you have previously entered payment information for multiple payment methods, you can switch between them (to choose the payment method that will be used) by clicking Select next to the desired method; the currently selected method will have the word Selected instead of a link.

You can also click Delete to remove a previously-entered payment method. However, you cannot delete the currently selected payment method. Therefore, if you need to delete the current payment method, you must first enter a different payment method and select that.

Making a change to your selected payment method may take up to five business days to take effect. When you make a change, a notice to that effect will be displayed.

PayPal

When you select Enter PayPal Payment Information, you will be prompted to enter the email address of your PayPal account and then click CREATE.  That is all you have to do, but please note that if you had previously created a different payment method, the new method will not be selected by default.

Tip

If you do not already have a PayPal account, you can create one for free at  http://www.paypal.com.

Note

Disbursements made to non-U.S.-based PayPal accounts will incur a 2% fee, up to a maximum of $20 USD. If our ACH / Direct Deposit option is available in your country, that might be a less expensive alternative since there is no fee associated with this payment method.
